Brookside Lacrosse forms Spring teams to compete in the Kansas City Metro Girls Lacrosse League. Our teams are formed by players whom reside in the South Kansas City area.
Spring Team Grade Divisions: 3/4, 5/6, 7/8
Practice Logistics: Teams practice 2x per week starting early march - mid may. Mondays and Wednesdays between 5pm-7:15pm held at SW High School. 3/4 & 5/6 girls practices are 60 minutes, 7/8 girls practices are 75 minutes. Practice Times and locations are subject to change based on availability.
Game Details: Each team plays 7-8 games on weekends starting late March - Mid May. Game times vary on each weekend, but will be located at Blue Valley North HS.
End Of Season Tournament: Our season concludes with a tournament on the 2nd or 3rd weekend of May.
Uniform: Brookside requires the purchase of a uniform for this Spring season.
Girls 7/8 Grade - required to purchase full uniform (jersey and shorts)
Girls 3/4 or 5/6 Grade - required to purchase jersey (shorts are optional)
This uniform will be used for the following 3 seasons.
Uniform TEAM STORE (Click HERE) - make sure to order your uniform following your Spring season registration. You will be able to enter your child's top 3 number choices. Numbers are assigned on availability.
US Lacrosse Membership: A US Lacrosse membership is required to play in the Spring season. This provides supplemental insurance that both Brookside and the boys league require. Your membership number will be required when registering for the Spring season, please visit www.usalacrosse.com/membership to find your number or sign up!
Player Waiver and Code of Conduct: Please view our player waiver and code of conduct in our registration.
Team Parents: There will be an team parent for each team this season to assist the team/coach with practice/game reminders and other various items outlined by the club director. If you are interested in a team parent role, please contact us.
Interested in Coaching? Experienced or not, Brookside prepares all our coaches with the necessary knowledge to be a head or assistant coach throughout the season. If you are interested in any capacity please let us know during your player registration.
Equipment Needed: Girls need the following equipment - Goggles, stick, mouth guard, cleats. Parents can check out any of the local retailers - Bar Down Sports Shop, Dicks Sporting Goods, or Play in Again Sports.
