Brookside Lacrosse forms Spring teams to compete in the Lacrosse Association of Kansas City Spring League. Our teams are formed by players whom reside in the South Kansas City area. Brookside Lacrosse is open for new and experienced players.
Spring League Grade Divisions
3/4th, 5/6th, and 7/8th grade boys participate in the LAKC league. 3/4th grade plays small sided games (5v5) with a roster size of 12 - 15 players. 5/6th & 7/8th grade plays full field games (10v10) with a roster size of 17-22 players.
Inner League Program
1/2 Grade boys will participate in Brookside's in-house division. Boys will practice 1x per week followed with a inner-league game. Our goal provide a solid foundation to start playing locally and affordably.
Practice Logistics
(grades 3 - 8) Teams practice 2x per week starting early March - mid May. Mondays and Wednesdays between 5pm-7:15pm held at Rockhurst High School. 3/4 boys practices are 60 minutes, 5/6 & 7/8 boys practices are 75 minutes.
(grades 1st - 2nd) Players practice 1x a week starting early April - mid May. Mondays between 5pm-6pm.
Practice Times and locations are subject to change based on availability.
Game Details
(Grades 3rd - 8th) Each team plays 7-8 games on weekends starting late March - Mid May. Game times vary on each weekend and can be located at other Spring Club home fields.

End Of Season Tournament: Our season concludes with a tournament on the 3rd weekend of May.
​(Grades 1st - 2nd) Players play inner-league games running on Wednesdays, starting April for 6 weeks.
​Uniform
Brookside requires the purchase of a uniform for this Spring season.
Boys 7/8 Grade - required to purchase Jersey ($45) and Shorts ($30)
Boys 3/4, 5/6 or 7/8 Grade - required to purchase Jersey ($45) Shorts are optional
Boys 1/2 Grade - reversible jersey included in registration
This uniform will be used for the following 2 seasons.
US Lacrosse Membership
A US Lacrosse membership is required to play in the Spring season for boys 3rd - 8th grade. This provides supplemental insurance that both Brookside and the boys league require. Your membership number will be required when registering for the Spring season, please visit www.usalacrosse.com/membership to find your number or sign up!
Player Waiver and Code of Conduct: Please view our player waiver and code of conduct in our registration.
Team Parents: There will be an team parent for each team this season to assist the team/coach with practice/game reminders and other various items outlined by the club director. If you are interested in a team parent role, please contact us or mark interested during registration.
Interested in Coaching? Experienced or not, Brookside prepares all our coaches with the necessary knowledge to be a head or assistant coach throughout the season. If you are interested in any capacity please let us know during your player registration.
Equipment Needed: Boys need the following equipment - Helmet, shoulder pads, elbow pads, gloves, stick, mouth guard, cleats. Parents can check out any of the local retailers - Dicks Sporting Goods, or Play in Again Sports.
