Brookside Lacrosse stands with Prairie Village and Blue Valley as the only youth programs ran by a full-time director and staff with experienced, non-volunteer coaches.
The Badgers are open to 1st - 8th boys and girls in the South Kansas City area.
Brookside Lacrosse predominately feed's the following high schools: Bishop Miege, Pembroke, St. Teresa's and Rockhurst High School.
Brookside Lacrosse competes in the following local leagues during the Spring season; LAKC (boys) & KCMGLA (girls). Brookside is also provides regional competition throughout the Spring season.
Brookside Lacrosse, is a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization incorporated under the laws of the State of Missouri.
The purpose of this corporation is:

To support the positive growth of the youth in the communities served by the organization

Develop the sport of lacrosse in the Midwest

To create opportunities for youth to be introduced to, engaged in and excel at the sport of lacrosse

Enrich the lives of to those touched by the organization through its deeds and actions
As a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization, Brookside Lacrosse operates under a set of bylaws and governed by a Parent Board and ran by an Administrator.
The Parent Board oversees the organization's efforts of encouraging positive change in the lives of youth lacrosse players and supporting the growth of the sport in the Brookside area.

Girls Director
Reilly Johnson, originally adopted from South Korea, grew up on the Eastern Shore of Maryland, where she quickly was immersed in the lacrosse community. In 2009, Reilly moved to Chapel Hill, North Carolina where she played Varsity Lacrosse at East Chapel Hill High School and eventually helped lead her team to a State Championship in 2012.
In. 2013, Reilly was recruited to play Division II lacrosse at Belmont Abbey College in Charlotte, North Carolina. Throughout her years at the Abbey, Reilly was also recruited to play internationally where she represented the US in both Australia and the UK.
Post college, Reilly helped continue to grow the sport in Charlotte and as of January 2022, Reilly is now a Kansas City resident. Reilly hopes to help share her passion of the game and help develop young athletes to achieve their potential.

Club Director
Brandon Horschig, a St. Louis native, relocated to Kansas City in 2015 to run PV Youth
Lacrosse and establish his off-season organization - KC Heartland.
Since arriving in Kansas City, Brandon has been heavily involved in the lacrosse community -
- Head Coach Blue Valley North HS 2016-2018
- KC Lacrosse Shop 2016-2021
- Blue Valley Youth Lacrosse 2020- present
- Midwest Top Gun 2020-present
- KC Elevate 2021 - present
Brandon Horschig and Jay Coleman merged their respective off-season organizations to form KC Elevate in 2021 to simplify the lacrosse market and to further foster growth as the preferred local lacrosse provider.
Brandon is excited to work with Brookside Lacrosse and continue the growth of lacrosse throughout the South Kansas City area.
Brandon resides in Grain Valley Mo. with his wife Mackenzie, daughters Naveah, Maebri and sons Sawyer and August.
